The military has several unique applications, both tactical and general use cases, where traditional radio frequency (RF) such as radio, cellular, SATCOM, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are not available, denied, or desired. There have been several research efforts seeking a secure non-RF alternative to radio communication to be used where soldiers and vessels are unable to use radios due to RF jammers, environmental conditions, the presence of explosives, and the need for a secure communication system that has a low probability of interception and detection.Torrey Pines Logic, Inc. (TPL) has been developing a next generation secure wireless communication solution called LightSpeed. The LightSpeed free space optics technology permits users to communicate voice, video and data at significant ranges, covertly and using little power. TPL will determine the product-market fit between the R26 solution and a potential USAF stakeholder and define a clear and immediately actionable plan for running a trial with the proposed solution and the proposed AF customer.Free Space Optics, nonRF communications,anti-jam,
