We propose a novel radio transmitter that demonstrates next generation capabilities in power efficiency, data rate, and frequency agility. The successful technology will enable satellite constellations with the ability to support an enhanced and more capable drone fleet, provide improved visibility into the battle space, and assure connectivity between air, space, and ground elements. The proposed transmitter will have the ability to dynamically and continuously tune over a decade of frequency, providing an unprecedented combination of bandwidth and energy efficiency all in a compact form factor ideal for satellite applications. The proposed research effort is a leap forward of Eridans MIRACLE transceiver technology. MIRACLE combines a Direct Polar circuit architecture and state of the art Gallium Nitride device technology to simultaneously deliver power efficiency, bandwidth efficiency, and spectrum agility in a single digital-to-rf module. The proposed effort seeks to extend the MIRACLE performance envelope by almost 10X in power (to 15W peak) while maintaining the same simultaneous combination of power efficiency, bandwidth efficiency, and spectrum agility.RF Transmitter,Cubesat,Satellite,switch-mode,efficiency,Broadband,assured communications
