Special Projects Team LLC has developed the ROSCAM. The Radiometric One Second Camera (ROSCAM) is an airborne 95 GHz imager that generates a radiometric image in one second. The goal of ROSCAM was to demonstrate a practical millimeter-wave imaging (MMWI) camera, with a frame time of approximately one second. The approach combines a high-speed mechanical raster scanning antenna system with a single-channel radiometric receiving system. The following presentation displays both a regular video image alongside the ROSCAM image. The camera was mounted on the nose of a Jet Ranger helicopter as it flew over the Connecticut River valley in Massachusetts during the years of 1996 - 2001.
