TH Chem, Inc. (THC) is focused on next generation materials and technologies for high performance batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors for various mobile and portable electronic applications. Â THC is currently developing a new system of Li/S battery technologies using Li-S chemistry and nanocomposite concepts. Current state-of-the-art Lithium (Li) or Li-ion systems are unable to meet the performance goals of next generation portable electronic devices and EV or HEVs; providing insufficient energy and power or unsatisfactory cycle/calendar life, cost, and safety. THCâs Li/S technologies integrate the new S polymer chemistry and nano S materials to realize the high-energy capacity of Li/S battery with highly improved cycle life. The technologies have shown potential to realize energy density larger than 300 Wh/kg, cycle life greater than 1,000, and cost lower than one half of the state-of-the-arts. THC is developing a Li metal and Li-ion anode stabilization technology for high performance Li or Li-ion batteries.
