Areas of focus include: Oxygen production: to meet the demand for bedside medical oxygen units, the firm has developed an electrochemical nano-membrane pump for separating oxygen for ambient air. - technology that replaces costly units previously providing low oxygen purity, requiring considerable maintenance, and having a limited shelf-life due to intrinsic moisture absorption. Fuel cells: the firm's technology reduces amount of materials required to manufacture thin (versus thick) films providing faster processing due ro a power-efficient production that is intrinsically easier to automate, lowers unit weight, and improves waste-heat management during operation. In the arena of Water filtration, the firm has broadened application of membrane technology for water recovery from contaminated sources such as agricultural runoff, produced water, industrial and residential wastewater.
