In June 2020 it was announced that Mindsciences had been acquired by Sharecare. Earlier in the year (Feb 2020) the two firms has announced a teamed effort offering an evidence based tobacco cessation program. MindSciences merges evidence-based mindfulness, digital technology and neuroscience to create solutions designed - online guidance programs and applications enabling people to control cravings, to overcome addictions, and to change behaviors. The training principles rely on (1) research into how the brain forms habits (2) evidence-based mindfulness practices based on ancient wisdom traditions that date back thousands of years and have been translated for modern-day use through programs such as mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and (3) new digital delivery mechanisms. Products include Eat Right Now, which includes app based daily exercises, live coaching, and real time feedback to control cravings and eat right food; Unwinding Anxiety, which include lectures and exercises to reduce anxiety in an individual; and Craving To Quit, which is an app based program to enable people to quit smoking over a period of time.
