Fosmo Med Lactate Ringers Solution (FMLRS) is a solutions bag that is shipped around the world sans water and can be filled with local water to create sterile lactated ringers solution within the bag without external power requirement. The primary advantage of FMLRS is significant reduction of overall logistical cost since the solution is 98% water and accounts for the majority of the shipping costs, which can be reduced 75% or more. Additionally, with over 85% reduction in volume, critical storage space can be significantly less. Fosmo Med has currently worked on 0.9% saline solution for the disaster relief market and is ready for the FDA phase. This Phase I project will include development of a prototype based on our saline solution bag design and materials while demonstrating the efficient reconstitution of FMLRS meets the FDAs standards for administration. The primary commercial market for the FMLRS would be for disaster relief efforts, where the last mile problem of delivering this critical life-saving product is problematic with the current solution. This technology can be used to create not only saline and FMLRS, but other solutions can be created at the spot of care so lives can be saved.
