OBJECTIVE: Result in immediate mental/physical state of a sailor to attend to readiness to engage arms from any other state of un-readiness. In essence, to increase sailor learning speed, comprehension, and performance. This is done through human behavior/development techniques. DESCRIPTION: While resting or engaging in recreational activities, etc. there is always the chance of having to be in the ready-to-engage state, whereby the individual would then be at their station and be in the ultimate state to both access and apply their training with the weapon of choice. Their ability to switch those decisions from that point forward are highly dependent upon their neurological and physical state.
Benefit: With new hardware technology being developed regularly, while that hardware/software may change, what remains constant is the hardware of humans: their brain. What is possible with humans is that they can be trained to use technology and they can also be trained to use their brain (software) to engage new strategies where technological training misses. Successful implementation would result in changes in training that would quickly train personnel and save lives, money and time.
