Working in the space of mass spectrometry instrumentation and technology for a variety of applications, the firm creates innovative mass spectrometry hardware, methods, and applications aimed at solving the most demanding chemical analysis problems across industries such as space exploration and medicine. To date thes ehaveincluded ion sources to operate on Mars to explosive detectors to protect the homeland. In June 2018, Trace Matters received NASA PICASSO award to develop plasma-based ion source technology.
