Public Profile
Glacigen Materials, Inc. is a materials science company organized around catalytic process improvements. Much of Glacigen's work is based on engineering of unique microstructures in ceramic and metal substrates with the purpose of creating sheets of materials with anisotropic properties and graded compositions. The anisotropic properties can be unique to a single direction within the sheet or exhibit variance between through-thickness and in-plane properties. Applications for these materials can be found in solid-oxide fuel cell electrodes, thermal interface materials, and high temperature ceramic-metal interfaces. A second area of Glacigen emphasis relates to catalyst stabilization against agglomeration and poisoning for high temperature metallic catalysts. Glacigen has expertise in nickel-based catalytic systems that provide excellent performance at much lower costs than alternative metalsand have applications in fuel cells and large-scale industrial catalytic processes.
