Fracsun LLC is providing a new measurement product that detects the effect of soiling on PV systems. Soiling is the amount of dirt on solar panels that has an effect on the actual performance of the panels. To optimize solar panel's efficiency the company has created ARES (Automatic Reference for Empirical Solutions), this product provides irradiance and daily isolation data, daily percentage lost due to soiling, and the soiling rate. The soiling rate is computed using an algorithm that determines the most economical day to wash the array.
