ViVita Technologies Inc., a tissue engineering company founded out of UC Davis. ViVita intends to eliminate the shortage of donor organs and tissues by generating off-the-shelf replacements. Vessel patches and grafts represent ViVitas minimally viable product, permitting downstream development of heart valve replacements with greater longevity and, ultimately, whole organs. ViVita is seeking to raise a $1.5M seed round to perform large animal studies to support first-in-human clinical trials.
