With the original award having been made to Advanced Medical Systems LLC - a very common name - the firm appears to have been renamed Voxel Healthcare. Doing business by this new name, Voxel is a medical imaging technology company organized around development of ClickBrain a MR Clinical Decision Support Tool for Pediatrics. Based on technology developed at the CIBORG Lab at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, the product enables better diagnosis childhood disorders by comparing measurements of key structures in a childs brain to a large database of normal subjects. Principals of the firm are leveraging recent developments in machine learning and deep learning to do these measurements that otherwise may take many hours or even days to do manually. ClickBrain is a clinical decision support software providing quantitative pediatric brain MRI measurements for radiologists and clinicians. When patients receive a brain MRI, the standard of care is the time-consuming, qualitative, visual assessment of a multitude of 2D images. Diagnosis often requires a highly specialized and experienced pediatric neuroradiologist, not available in many hospitals. There are no good clinical decision support tools to quantitatively evaluate volumetric changes in the pediatric brain to increase efficiency of interpretation, facilitate uniform interpretation regardless of radiologist experience level and enable earlier diagnosis and monitoring therapeutic interventions. While initially targeting a pediatric audience, ClickBrain can be used to analyze MR brain images of all sizes and ages and provides reproducible quantitative assessments of each brain region compared to healthy normal subjects.
