As analternative to chemical coatings or platings, the firm's proprietary laser processing method can chage intrinsic property of the material. Examples include but are not limited to: Super Hydrophobic Materials - utilizing a powerful and precise laser-patterning technique creates an hydrophobic material topography is highly water repellent at only a few degrees of tilt; Super Hydrophilic Materials - a process for increasing the hydrophilicity of materials, a wicking action that can be applied various materials enabling water to travel upwards against gravity and at high speed. Ther ppliactions include changing the reflectivity and optical absorption of metals, from far infrared to far ultraviolet. By tuning the absorptive properties of metal, all-black metal which absorbs all visible light can be produced or can the absorption spectrum tuned to only allow certain optical frequencies to be reflected, giving the processed metal a custom tailored color.
