Public Profile

Incorrect matching of a patient to the wrong xrays may not be common occurence - but when it does occurs the consequences can be very serious: wrong treatment for wrong patient. Validated by a study undertaken by faculty at Emory University and Georgia Tech, adding the patient photograph to an xray drmaticallyreduced the likelihood of such error. Involving some of the personnel undertaking that study, Camerad Technologies provides an end-to-end solution for seamlessly integrating patient photos taken at point-of-care into existing hospital imaging infrastructures. Camerad is focused on automatically capturing patient photographs at time of X-ray, which are then autonomously attached to the patient’s X-ray study by a Camerad integration server. These photos help identify wrong-patient errors, provide context for interpretation, and reconnect the radiologist with the patent
