Public Profile

Pixelligent Technologies LLC is an advanced materials company manufacturing next generation nanocrystal additives and nanocomposite materials for demanding applications in solid-state lighting, flat panel displays, optical components, electronics, semiconductor, industrial, and military markets. The optoelectronics industry has needed high RI material capable of delivering sufficient power for the next generation of high brightness LEDs, OLEDs, and FPD applications. PixelligentÂ’s novel nano-enabled materials allow their customers significantly to increase and more accurately control the refractive index (RI) of polymer systems while providing high light transmission and near perfect optical clarity. Pixelligent has invested heavily in manufacturing a variety of wide-band gap nanocrystals. Two of these developments, Zirconia and Hafnia nanocrystals, are used to magnify optical, electronic, thermal, chemical, tribological, anti-corrosion, and mechanical properties of numerous polymer systems in various markets, such as microlithography, HB LEDs/OLEDs, metal alloys, lubricants/greases, silicone; and for applications in the Department of Defense. Incorporation of PixelligentÂ’s PixClear and custom nanocrystal dispersions creates next-generation nanocomposites that can be used to magnify and optimize the optical, electronic, thermal, and mechanical properties of numerous families of polymers, from acrylics and epoxies to silicones and spin-on glasses. The novelty of nanocomposites is that the enhanced properties gained by the addition of the nanocrystals present significantly less trade-offs than with traditional composites.
