Syracuse, NY -- The Syracuse man accused of having child pornography on his home computer was briefly employed by Syracuse University.

Donald M. Leskiw, 60, of 111 Berkeley Drive, earned his doctorate in electrical engineering from SU in 2011 and officials confirmed that he worked at the University in 2012.

Kevin Quinn, senior vice president for public affairs at SU said Leskiw worked as an employee at the university for approximately two weeks in September 2012 -- around the same time investigators searched his home on a search warrant.

There is no record of Leskiw being employed anytime before then, Quinn said. He would not say what Leskiw did at the university or why his employment ended.

Leskiw's LinkedIn profile lists his employment history as a consultant at NASA and a systems manager at Lockheed Martin before managing his own company Leskiw Associates, LLC.

On Friday Syracuse police arrested Leskiw in connection with an investigation stemming from a Sept. 12, 2012 search warrant at his home.

During the search detectives found child pornography on his home computer, police said.

Leskiw was charged with felony possessing a sexual performance by a child and was issued an appearance ticket. He was ordered to appear in Onondaga County Court Wednesday Feb. 27.

Leskiw could not be reached for comment Friday.

His attorney Edward Menkin declined to comment on the case, he said.
