Originally founded as the Garvey Corporation in 1918 to produce bronze castings for the U.S. steel industry, M-7 Technologies was formed in 2004 as the result of cross-pollinating three generations of heavy industrial skills with 21st-century technology. M-7 Technologies provides precision measurement solutions to a wide range of industries through the fim's metrology inspection, laser scanning, and reverse engineering services. M-7 provides advanced manufacturing of machined, fabricated parts and refurbishing of mechanical equipment and components. Industries cuurently engaging M-7 capabillities include the advanced energy, aerospace, environmental, petroleum, construction, fabrication, defense, automotive, material handling, and heavy industrial markets. M-7 was recently awarded a sub-contract from the Army Research Lab to participate, as the lead commercial entity, in the creation of The National Defense Center of Excellence in Industrial Metrology and 3 Dimensional Imaging Research. M-7’s present areas of research are the obstacles to broad scale adoption of laser and sound based geometric measurement data bases. This includes data acquisition, processing and application using advanced hardware and software systems.
