Stage I Diagnostics is a biotechnology company working to commercialize a test system that can detect cancers in the earliest stages of the disease. In addition, the company offers multiple monoclonal antibodies, recombinant biomarker proteins, and ELISA kits for research use only. Its biomarkers, while functioning in the shedding and spread of tumor cells, are also known to be active in a wide range of biological processes. All of Stage I's monoclonal antibodies are created using its recombinant proteins produced utilizing a baculovirus expression system which allows for purification under native conditions. Stage I grew out of work done at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science.
