Truenamel develops biomimetic materials for dentistry. The company was founded by Brian Clarkson, a professor emeritus at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Clarkson's research interests focus on the effects of dentin proteins on dentin remineralization; the etiology of dental flouorosis; the regeneration of dental mineralized tissue especially the dentin enamel junction using stem cells; and the synthesis of HAP/FAP crystals and films for creating synthetic enamel, producing new restorative materials and treating sensitive dentin.
