October 29, 2014 -- Lucigen announced today that Ralph Kauten has been named CEO of the organization. Mr. Kauten has served as a member of the corporation's Board of Directors for the past ten years and as the Chairman of the board for the past four years. Previously Mr. Kauten has been involved in the start-up and management of the life sciences companies Promega Corporation, PanVera (acquired by Aurora Biosciences) and Mirus Bio (acquired by Roche Pharmaceuticals). Dr. David Mead, who founded Lucigen and has served as CEO from the company's inception in 1998, will continue to be actively involved in the role of Chief Scientific Officer.
