Dynupol Inc develops polarization chemicals and supplies, including their patented TOTAPOL and BDPAqua polarizing agents, that are used in Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP), a technique used in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. TOTAPOL is a biradical polarization agent that is compatible with salt solutions commonly used in the study of nucleic acids and proteins. BDPAqua is a narrow-line polarization agent that has been shown to perform the Overhauser effect and cross-effect polarizations. The company was founded by three MIT chemists, two of whom head their own laboratories at MIT (the Griffin Group and the Swager Group).
