Pulsed power systems is an enabling technology with commercial, industrial, and research applications across a broad range of areas including combustion, bio-electrics, and agriculture. TPS - also dba as Transient Plasma Systems inc - is structured around design and production of state of the art compact pulsed power technology. With the underlying echology having been eveloped and matured at the University of Southern California, with over a decade of support from the Department of Defense, the company was spun out of the university to translate the technology into products and systems to respond to the demand of both military and commercial markets. The technology is anchored in ultra-fast, high-voltage electrical pulses that deliver incredibly high peak power using very little energy. This energy makes energetic electrons in a volume instead of head at a single point as in a spark, enabling a fundamentally different ignition process that yields long spark plug life and allows combustion to occur faster and more efficiently.
