Remcom, provider of electromagnetic simulation software and solutions, announces that it will participate in HIS GlobalSpec's Wind Energy Technology event on October 9, 2013. The event, which simulates the physical look and feel of an educational conference and trade show, allows attendees to participate in educational sessions and network with others in the field, directly from their own computers.

The event is free and accessible via the Internet with registration log-in credentials. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the highly interactive nature of the event by utilizing the chat functionality to engage in discussions with other attendees and supplier representatives. Interested parties may register via IHS GlobalSpec's Wind Energy Technology event webpage.

Remcom will participate as an exhibitor with a virtual booth where attendees can download many new materials showcasing the company's recent wind turbine research and product capabilities. Remcom has used its electromagnetic analysis tools and expertise in radar scattering to perform a number of government-funded and internal research efforts into the impact that wind turbines and wind farms have on radar returns for Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar, early warning radar, weather radar, and instrumentation radar.

Remcom will be offering whitepapers, presentations, application examples, and videos for download in its booth. Topics include:

Wind Turbine Effects on Radar Returns
High Fidelity RCS Simulation of a Turbine Blade
Lightning Strike on Wind Turbine
Wind Turbine Multipath
Wind Turbines and Aircraft in the Presence of Ground Clutter

Please visit Remcom's website for additional details and abstracts for these wind energy materials.

The event's educational sessions will focus on the latest developments in utility-scale and smaller wind turbine and generator technologies; developments in condition monitoring and control system design, data acquisition and field measurements; and new approaches for energy storage, distribution, wind farm siting, and construction. The complete agenda and list of speakers can be found on IHS GlobalSpec's Wind Energy Event webpage.
