Omega Piezo Technologies, Inc. will be opening a manufacturing operation in Screven County in the former White Stag Building located at 1113 S. Main Street. Omega Piezo Technologies, Inc. manufactures high quality piezoelectric and alumina products at competitive prices including: piezoceramic components, piezo single crystals, piezo sub-assemblies and devices, and select piezo based systems. Applications include alarm systems, medical devices, and more. The plant will create approximately 20-25 jobs over a two year period.
"Dorie and the Screven County Development Authority did an outstanding job putting together a great incentive package that was tailored to suit all of our needs," says Dr. David Pickrell, President of Omega Piezo Technologies, Inc. "They made our decision to come to Screven County an easy one. The purchase of this building will allow us to bring high tech manufacturing jobs to the area. We anticipate spending over $200,000 to get this plant fully operational which includes building upgrades, equipment purchases and installation, and employee training."

Omega Piezo Technologies, Inc. will maintain their corporate headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania. Alyce Thornhill of the Georgia Department of Economic Development was the project manager for the state of Georgia.
