UPDATE McLean, Virginia, February 11, 2008 -- DDL OMNI is pleased to announce the award of Contract No. N00178-04-D-4032, Delivery Order FD03 to provide scientific, engineering, and technical support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in support of the TUBA, SEAWOLF, SSN-688, VIRGINIA, SSGN, and TRIDENT Submarine Programs, and XX-21 and other Surface Ship Programs.
DDL OMNI will provide services in the areas of ship signatures reduction, signature measurement technology and systems development programs, signatures analysis, and non-propulsion electronic systems (NPES). The contract, which was awarded on February 6, 2008, is valued at $43,523,831.

This five-year contract will come under the direction of Kirk D. Beene, Vice President, Engineering Division. Work will be performed in the McLean, VA, office under the direction of Jim Norman (TUBA Program Manager), Charlie Zanis (Director Materials and Structures), and George Carpenter (Ship Control Systems Program Manager); in the Middletown, RI, office under the direction of Michael Daughan (Ship Control Systems Program Manager); onsite at NSWCCD in West Bethesda, MD, under the direction of Michael Burk (TUBA Onsite Program Manager); and in the Waterford, CT, office under the direction of Ralph Vlcek (Vice President, Engineering Services Division).
DDL OMNI efforts will be required in all stages of ship signature, ship control systems, and materials and structures programs, including concept formulation; engineering analysis and development; operational test and evaluation; and fleet introduction, application, and support. DDL OMNI has provided similar support to NSWCCD in these critical areas for more than 40 years.
