Paratek Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Friday that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock.
According to its website, Boston-based Paratek is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and commercialization of new therapeutics that treat life threatening infectious and other serious diseases.
All shares of the common stock to be sold in the offering will be offered by Paratek. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined, the company said.
UBS Investment Bank and Leerink Swann LLC will act as the joint bookrunning managers for the offering.
On its website, the company says it was founded in 1996 by Dr. Stuart B. Levy, professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, and by Dr. Walter Gilbert, a Nobel Prize winning professor emeritus at Harvard University
