Concentrics leading product, the proprietary MERCI System has the potential of revolutionizing ischemic stroke intervention by providing a simple and innovative mechanical method of removing thrombus to restore blood flow. Concentric Medical focuses on catheter-based treatment of ischemic stroke, hypervascularized tumors and hemorrhagic stroke, otherwise known as cerebral aneurysm. The company is currently developing several proprietary device systems: the Merci Clot Retriever, indicated for clot removal; Embolic Pearls for embolic therapy of hypervascularized tumors; and embolic coil systems for the treatment of cerebral aneurysms.
