Acculaser Inc. was a medical device company using patented cold laser technology for treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. The portable Acculaser device did recive FDA approcal in 2002 amd was claimed to facilitate healing of Musculoskeletal injuries such as: Tendonitis, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Sprains and strains, Contusions, Whiplash and many other inflammatory conditions It is a non-pharmacolgical alternative that increases cell metabolism, microcirculation and clearance of noxious substances associated with the inflammatory response. The effects of the Acculaser device are photochemical, NOT thermal. The light energy from the infrared laser is absorbed at the cellular level and converted to chemical energy.
