Kopin Corporation, spun out of MIT, develops wearable technologies and solutions that enhance the visual, verbal, audio, and head-gesture command capabilities products. In 2013, the firm sold off its primary product line, III-V technology line, and its subsidiary, KTC Wireless, in order to focus its efforts on wearable technologies. The firm's new focus of technologies includes ultra-small displays, optics, speech enhancement technology, software, low-power ASICs, and ergonomically designed headset computing systems that are used across consumer, business and military markets. In addition, the company's products include tailored reference designs, displays, military solutions, and modules that meet the product development needs of customers.
