HOBI Labs is a private marine sciences laboratory specializing in optical oceanography and hydro-optical instrumentation. The Research Laboratory conducts a wide range of basic and applied research on problems in ocean-color remote sensing, coastal optical properties, underwater visibility, ocean lidar, and biological processes. The firm's Instrumentation Laboratory is responsible for the development, production, and marketing of our unique and world-renowned commercial products that serve the marine sciences community. Though with the same PI, the Navy funded project received by this firm as a Phase II in 1998 had been a Phase I to Sequoia Scientific (WA firm) in 1997
