Hydro-Air is part of the Canadian firm Solar Energy Limited (SLRE) is a public company listed on the OTCBB (SLRE). Currently (2005) Solar Energy Limited has suspended its R&D activiites in Hydro-Air Technology. Initially, SLRE was formed to focus on developing cost-effective solutions to the earth's most pressing challenges: water, energy and pollution. The firm's scientific team is lead by two scientists, formerly holding senior positions with Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Melvin L. Prueitt and Dr. Reed J. Jensen head separate wholly-owned divisions within SLRE. Each of the following SLRE projects developed by Dr. Prueitt is in a prototype stage: SOLAWATT - will be the production of electricity at one-third of conventional costs using only SLRE's unique solar energy collectors placed directly on the earth. H2O-NOW - will produce fresh water using only sea water and SLRE's unique solar energy collectors in a reverse osmosis desalination process that requires no electric motors or outside power source. MECH - will be a revolutionary internal combustion engine about one-third the size of a conventional engine with the same power and 25% greater efficiency. S.I.P. - (Solar Irrigation Pump) This programme has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to develop pumps to be used in isolated areas of the world. Solar energy is collected and stored to operate various sizes of water pumps, which may be operated twenty-four hours per day, if necessary. Originally, SLRE was basically a research and development (R&D) Company and funding was provided on an as needed basis by a small group of investors. Eight unique projects have been developed to date and the logical, next step is to 'commercialize' several of them in order not only to provide ongoing R&D funding but also to start generating earnings. To achieve this, SLRE has developed into an incubator of energy, water and anti-pollution related projects.
