In May 2021 it was announced that Leidos Holdings, Inc., a FORTUNE 500 science and technology leader had completed acquisition of Gibbs & Cox, Inc. for approximately $380 million in cash. Since the firm was founded and since, the firm's personnel have been providing services to the U.S. and international navies, other government agencies, shipyards, and commercial clients. The firm also provides a broad spectrum of support to other government agencies: U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and state and local agencies with various of the firm's personnel also actively involved on industry design and engineering teams, as well as supporting ongoing research and development activities and life cycle programs. Included are the designs of the DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyers and the FFG 7 Class Guided Missile Frigates. The firm is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia with offices in New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Hampton, Virginia. The Arlington, New York, Washington and Philadelphia offices constitute Engineering Services Group providing engineering and management services. The Hampton office constitutes Design Services Group providing design and life cycle support services. Together, these Groups offer full service support to our government and commercial clients. Gibbs & Cox, Inc. is certified as ISO compliant under ISO 9001:2000 for design, engineering and administrative services.
