Level Set Systems Inc develops high quality commercial software using computational techniques a variety of applications including image and video processing, compressive sensing, computer vision and graphics, control systems, optimization and modeling of physical systems for advanced engineering design efforts. Over the years, LSS has delivered innovative algorithms and software to U.S. government defense agencies and major biotech/biomedical device companies. Additionally, LSS has several patents in the area of image data compression, where they have developed a method for accurate compression of 3D point cloud data with high compression ratios. The method preserves critical and detailed features, with a predefined error bound. Maximum error of the extracted point cloud after compression can be specified and though the extracted point cloud is different than the original, the geometry of the objects represented is maintained.
