Brimrose Corporation of America, also doing business as Brimrose Technology Corporation, is a high tech company and manufacturer of Electro-Optic solutions for the NASA/Jet Propulsion Spaceflight Center and various military DOD facilities, as well as the Optical Communication, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Process-Control Industries. Brimrose works in Electro-Optic technology, with OEM commercial and R&D activities that include all major photonic applications. In particular, the firm has addressed the rapid growing need of various fiber optic components and test equipment. The firm works with Acousto-Optic technology in commercial and R&D activities that include all major photonic applications. A core Brimrose technology is AOTF-NIR (acousto-optic tunable filters-near infrared). The firm also manufactures AOTF-NIR and VIS spectrometers and process analyzers for in-line process control applications including acousto-optic tunable filters, pigtailed filters, modulators, deflectors, frequency shifters, mode lockers, q-switches, cavity dumpers, fiber telescope video adapters, IR photovoltaic detectors and RF drivers. These products are sold to defense contractors, as well as the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and pharmaceutical industries. Brimrose has recently developed an all optical, intelligent, microsecond switch. Other processes that were developed by Brimrose includes a control feedback system to measure chromatic dispersion during the manufacturing of optical communication fiber, as well as a miniature solid-state green laser for medical diagnostic instrumentation. The firm's exclusive AOTF-NIR process analyzers serve the chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and pharmaceutical industries. Recently, Brimrose was chosen by the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory Spaceflight Center to have miniature AOTF Spectrometers placed on all future ROVER Mars missions to analyze geological structures on the planet.
