Environment and Health Group specializes in health and well-being for older adults. Their many projects include: building online communities for caregivers with dementia; developing e-interventions for patients over 50 to help prevent the spread of HIV; developing a unique, health risk appraisal and coaching service for people over 50 in the workplace; and creating remote patient monitoring systems for elderly with chronic diseases. The firm has also engaged Web 2.0, social media, and mobile applications to promote health and wellness and to improve chronic disease management among disadvantaged populations. Two company projects include the development of a low-cost, computer-based remote monitoring application for congestive heart disease and the creation of a computer application to aid Hispanic women struggling with obesity and diabetes.
